The Soul of Wine

Located in the heart of the Grès de Montpellier terroir, the Cuvée des Arceaux takes its name from the emblematic arches of the Saint-Clément aqueduct, a masterpiece of engineering that has crossed the city of Montpellier since the 18th century. A symbol of balance and ingenuity, these stone arches inspire the estate’s philosophy: building a harmonious link between nature, tradition, and innovation.

Founded and managed by the Prooftag family, the estate carries on an artisanal know-how passed down with passion.

Set on gently rolling hillsides facing southeast, the vineyards benefit from natural ventilation and ideal sunlight, encouraging slow and steady ripening.

The pebble and red clay soils typical of the Grès de Montpellier give the wines their signature character: aromatic richness, balance, and freshness.

Committed to sustainable and responsible viticulture, the Prooftag family prioritizes manual work, biodiversity, and limiting inputs. Each cuvée is crafted with high standards, respecting both the grape and the terroir, to reveal the purest expression of southern Montpellier.

Our Wines

Deep garnet color with aromas of blackberries, spice, and a touch of violet.

On the palate, rich and smooth, blending Grenache’s ripe fruit with Syrah’s structure, ending on a long, silky, lightly peppery finish.

Pale gold in color, offering aromas of green apple, pear, and a hint of toasted almond.

Bright acidity on the palate, with a silky texture and a clean, mineral-driven finish.

Delicate pink hue, with fresh notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, and citrus zest.

Crisp and lively on the palate, with juicy fruit, subtle floral hints, and a refreshing, dry finish.

Bright golden color, fresh aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a hint of brioche.

The palate is crisp and precise, with vibrant minerality and a long, elegant finish that reflects the purity of the vintage.

Truth is an important component of wine. Its effect is present and revealed in the flavour, and thus wine has a quintessential honesty.

There is ‘truth in wine’, but this is truth for others, and not for ourselves: as we drink wine each of us reveals more of ourself to others.
